Responsible for investments Graduate from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris and a Master's Degree in Specialised Management and Technology from the Ecole Centrale Paris, François Breniaux has been a marketing specilist for 8 years at the CEA Marketing Studies in Grenoble, responsible for gaining the added value for around thirty instrumentation R&D projects, half of which have involved medical devices on subjects involving imaging, orthopaedics and cardiology.
In 2001, François was the co-founder and General Director for 4 years of Alchimer, a start-up company from CEA Saclay in the area of functionalising nanometric surface for the medical and micro-electronics area, taking part in two fund raising exercises achieving a total of 14 millions €.
From 2005 to 2007, he was head of programme for « Health Technologies » at CEA-LIST- Saclay in charge of construction of collaborative research projects and technology transfer with industrial partners mostly in the fields of radiotherapy, dat processing and medical robotics.
In 2007, he took part in the development of CEA Investment in Saclay as head of investments SS in the fields of instrumentation, medical devices, materials, software and nanotechnologies. To date,he has advised on 6 investments and has taken part in various executive councils. Since 2000, François Breniaux has been a member of the Successive Evaluation Committees for health technology funded projects in the RNTS network then in ANR TecSan.
François has been a member of the EyeTechCare board since July 2008.
Director of Investments
Alexia Perouse returned to Crédit Agricole Private Equity in janvier 2005 as Director of Investments in the Life Sciences sector. Amongst other things, Alexia has developed investments in the Medical Device sector. Alexia has dual qualifications : MsC (Neurosciences) et MBA (IAE). She started her career at Chiron Vaccines followed by Parteurop Développement on operational and strategic missions for biotecnology start-ups. In 1999, she rejoined the risk capital sector at Sofinnova Partners where she took an active part in identifting life sciences and investment decisions opportunities. Since she arrived at Crédit Agricole Private Equity, Alexia has in particular looked after the Biolipox (sold to Orexo), Mutabilis (sold to Pharma Omnium International). She has invested in Fovea Pharmaceuticals (sold to Sanofi Aventis). She formed the medical investment portfolio in Medtech and in SuperSonic Imagine, CircuLite, Biospace med, EyeTechCare, SpineGuard et Stentys. She currently sits on the executive board of 6 companies.

Claude was head of the ultrasound devlopment group at Philips Research USA - acoustic activities - until 2005.
In particular this field involves training technology in acoustic pathways and commercial development of ultrasound.
From 1996 to 2002, he was resarch director at Philips Research France. In particular, his work involved acoustic and elastography applications to the breast.
From 1999 to 2002, he led an important international project on acoustic imaging to detect breast cancer and started several clinical investigations for studies on the use of new medical imaging in petnership with many sites in France and in the United states.
Claude is a graduate from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications (1992), an electrical and informatics science engineer. He is also a graduate from the University of Orsay in the treatment of signals and imaging and from the Montreal Polytechnic, Canada, in medical imaging and biomedical engineering. He has worked on medical applications in Electrical Impedance Tomography, particularly its application in detecting pulmonary emphysema.
Claude is acting as assistant researcher at Electricité de France in the development of innovative algorithms on Foulcault current tomography applied to non-destructive controls.
Claude Cohen-Bacrie holds 10 patents in the field of medical imaging, he is a very regular participant in the main international congress and conferences on ultrasound applications.
Claude has been a member of the EyeTechCare board since June 2009
