During the recent congress of the ARVO (The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology) which was held from 2 till 6 May 2010 in Fort Lauderdale (Florida - USA), EyeTechCare presented the results of its preclinical trials through a scientific poster the first author of which was Dr Florent Aptel, Chief Assistant at the Hospital Edouard Herriot in Lyon, in the service of Prof. Denis, first investigator of the current clinical study with the EYEOP1 system. The poster was realized on the basis of studies carried out in association with the unit INSERM 556. The results of the first trials, in particular the histological results, the efficiency and the tolerance of the device, were considered extremely promising by the visitors having wished to deepen the subject. The results of this study are also to be published in the magazine of the ARVO, IOVS (Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science).
