Saturday 8 May 2010 - News EyeTechCare
During the recent Congress of the SFO (French Society of Ophthalmology) which was held in Paris from 8 till 11 May of this year, two oral communications were presented. One by Dr Florent Aptel, Chief Assistant in the service of Prof. Denis at the Edouard Herriot Hospital in Lyon, the other one by Dr Fabrice Romano, CEO co-founder of the company EyeTechCare. Both communications aroused a deep interest of the community of the ophtalmologists and in particular the specialists in glaucoma therapy, being given the very big originality of the approach of the method proposed through the device EYEOP1 and the extremely promising results because the method shows a very significant efficiency associated with an excellent tolerance. On the other hand what was particularly appreciated, it is also the non manual approach eliminating the risks of errors and the precision obtained. The communication of Dr. Aptel was presented during the meeting organised by the French Society of Glaucoma and the communication of Dr. Romano was presented during the Glaucoma session of the French Society of Ophthalmology.
